Seton Hall's "Fan into Flame" Retreat

February 7-9, 2020

Fan into Flame 2020 proved to be a powerful encounter with the Lord for many of our students, especially through the Blessed Sacrament. The retreat introduced students to 5 talks coupled with testimonies ranging from introduction to charismatic praise and worship, declaring Jesus as Lord of their lives, and concluding with how to practically live out the Catholic way of life as students. The climax of FIF came on Saturday night where we had the opportunity to break up into our small groups and pray over each other for the Holy Spirit to baptize us. For the majority of students, THAT’S when the Holy Spirit touched their heart and radically called them to begin or strengthen their relationship with God. The goodness of FIF 2020 started with the clear devotion to prayer from our students. The retreat leaders went ALL IN with serving this retreat, faithfully praying, petitioning and fasting for weeks before the weekend! The fruit was evident! Through the Eucharist, several students felt the presence of God and felt the desire to join the Catholic Church! Praise God for his mighty works!

Rutgers "Inheritance" Retreat

February 21-23, 2020

On February 21st, 93 students showed up for the CSA Spring Retreat called “Inheritance.” It was incredible. During the course of the retreat, many of the retreatants genuinely surrendered their lives to the Lord and asked for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit! Many of the students felt massive freedom after renouncing spirits and lies. One woman went to confession for the first time in ten years and afterward said, "The Eucharist just tastes different now." Another student said, "This is the greatest feeling I've ever felt in my entire life! I've never felt this happy in my entire life! I've never felt God so strongly!" Another student hadn't stepped inside a church in three years and didn't know where he and Jesus stood. But, during the retreat, he wanted to surrender his entire life to Him. The Lord worked in incredible power and the retreat was a real watershed moment for the entire Rutgers community.
