The Daughters of Hope, now 32 in number, began our “7th” season with a blessed visit from Brother Jude Lasota, who spoke to us on God’s beauty. In November we celebrated a “taste of Thanksgiving” by thanking the Lord for His many blessings, as well as the taste of many yummy Thanksgiving delights. Our two GAP visitors, Sarah and Shannon, shared their faith stories, as well as their talents in song and the tin whistle. This month we look forward to a visit from our Polish Sisters and friends from the Shrine of St. Joseph. Szcesliwy Advent (Happy Advent) and Wesolych Swiat (Merry Christmas)!!!
Besides sharing faith and fellowship locally, we have become acquainted with the “Arbol de Vida” – Tree of Life, our Costa Rica Sword of the Spirit Community. This “international” connection is giving us opportunity to exchange prayer support, holy greetings in word and picture, as well as “ideas” to develop this particular ministry. Each time our Daughters of Hope gather we pray, (for each of you and yours),we learn, we laugh, we nibble and we behold the blessings of Jesus in one another.
For five years, our dear sister and friend, Jeanne McCauley, served the Daughters of Hope on our planning team. She brought “Jesus” to all of us in her laughter and creativity. We were grateful to be “Sisters in the Lord” and we know Jeanne will put a good word in with the Lord for all of us. Thanks for the memories, Jeanne, thanks for your love.
